La Leche League Elizabethtown group We are honored to host La Leche League's Elizabethtown group on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 am. For more information, call our store or LLL leader, Amy at 931.220.1660.
Services and Classes If you live in Elizabethtown, Kentucky or the surrounding area and would like to schedule a fitting, consultation, or breast pump pickup, please contact us to schedule a time. We also offer cloth diapering classes, baby wearing classes (group discounts available), nursing bra fittings with a certified bra fitter, breast shield fittings, breast pump consultations, breast pump rentals, baby scale rentals and free local pick up of merchandise purchased through our website (some exclusions apply).
- Baby wearing classes are $15 per person per half hour or $20 per couple per half hour.
- Cloth diapering classes are $10 per couple.
- Breast Pump Basics classes are $10 per couple.
- Fittings and consultations are free of charge with the purchase of one of our products; services for products purchased elsewhere incur a prepaid service fee.
- After hours appointments are available for breast pump pickup, fittings and consultations.
- We also offer local delivery of breast pumps to Hardin Memorial Hospital, Ireland Army Hospital, Flaget Memorial Hospital, University of Louisville NICU and Kosair NICU. (Delivery fees may apply.)
Baby Scale and Breast Pump Rentals We currently offer Medela BabyChecker Scales and Medela Symphony and Medela Symphony Plus hospital grade breast pump rentals. These items may be rented by the week or month with longer term discounts available.
- All rentals must be picked up in-store or delivered by our staff (delivery fee may apply). Direct signature and ID required.
- Rentals are prepaid and require a damage deposit, and a credit card on file. Damage deposit is refundable, provided the product is returned in clean condition without damage or missing parts.
- Breast pump rental fees do not include a 'pump kit'. If you did not receive a kit from the hospital or have one from a previous baby, you must purchase your own personal collection kit based on the pump you choose. If you already have a kit, please bring it with you so we can insure you have all the necessary parts.
FAQ's about breast pump rentals:
- My insurance company says it will pay for my rental and/or I have a prescription for a breast pump rental. Can you file a claim with my insurance?
Under some circumstances, insurance companies will pay for breast pump rentals, however all insurance companies list breast pump rentals as a questionable covered expense and review each claim individually. Since we cannot confirm if your rental pump is a covered expense, we do not file claims but will be happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork so you can submit a claim for reimbursement. (This does not guarantee the insurance will pay for the rental.)
- Can you ship my rental pump to me?
No. All rental products must be picked up in-store or delivered by our staff (delivery fee may apply). Direct signature and ID is required before the rental pump can be released to you.
- Can someone else pick up the rental pump for me?
Yes. If you have already paid for your rental pump and/or damage deposit, please call ahead to let us know someone else will be picking up your rental pump for you. We will require ID and the person picking up the pump will be required to sign the rental agreement.
- I am moving; can I take my rental pump with me?
This depends on how far you are moving from our store. The rental pump must remain within 150 miles of our store.
- Can I reserve a rental pump?
Yes. If you know you want to rent a breast pump, we encourage you to pay your damage deposit in advance to reserve a rental pump. Our rental pumps come and go often on a daily basis. Reservations will insure we have a rental pump available for you within one week of your due date.
- My rental contract is up but I would like to keep my rental pump another month. Is this possible?
Yes. Please come in or call us as soon as you decide you would like to keep you rental pump longer. You can pay in-store or we can bill your credit card on file.
- What if something happens to the pump while I am renting it?
If there is a problem with the motor, we will gladly switch out the rental pump. All repair costs and replacement fees are the responsibility of the person who signed the contract and will be billed to the credit card on file unless other arrangements have been made. We reserve the right to send the rental pump back to Medela for inspection and ruling of defect or negligence.
